1. Do you provide services for destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?

I'm based out of the Pacific Northwest. However, I serve clients all across the country. My destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations Due to my frequent travels to Louisville, Kentucky, lower rates may be available, depending on the circumstances. Click here for more information.

2. Do you provide partial day coverage?

I typically do not provide partial day coverage on weekends. On weekends, I only accept clients that require at least 6-8 hours of coverage or have a budget of $3,000.00 and above. I am more flexible outside of what I consider to be the busy season (April-September).

3. What differentiates your stlye from other photographers?

The most important thing to me is attention to detail and being with you every step of the way from the first point of contact until the album is delivered to you. Second, you're never treated as clients but always as a couple and friends, ensuring I deliver to you the very best experience both before, during and after the big day. We're in this together! And last, all the images you receive will be edited and color corrected to the same standard as in my web site.

I’m known as an artistic wedding photographer that takes a candid, editorial approach to wedding photography, although there are many other terms used to describe the style of photography that I take to capture your day.  As an artistic wedding photographer I will be capturing your day in an informal and unobtrusive manner, catching beautiful moments that occur naturally on your wedding day.

4. HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS DO YOU WORK WITH?

It all depends. The total amount of guests, how long you need my services, timeline events and how you would like your wedding to be covered.  Alone, you'd be surprised at what I can do. However, there are times when having a second pair of eyes, can capture the day from many different angles. Feel free to contact me and I'll be more than happy to give you my honest opinion. If we determine that a second or third shooter is needed, I know plenty of great photographers.

5. HOW SOON AFTER OUR WEDDING WILL OUR PROOFS BE READY?

Within two or three weeks of your wedding, I’ll make a blog post of some of my favorite finished images, usually 10-20. A few weeks after that your proofing gallery will be available online. As I work on your photos, I’ll keep adding to the proofing gallery. Your photos will be finished typically within 45 days of your wedding,.

6. What if we want to order prints? How does that work?

Your digital files are delivered via a direct download in a password-protected online image gallery. This is also a cart/ordering system for prints. Canvas, metal, acrylic and standard prints are available. This will allow you to order prints directly from your online gallery. I will provide you with a print release so that you are able to print your photos wherever you would like. However, I highly suggest that you order through my lab, as I make sure the images go through a rigorous process for quality control. My editing monitors are calibrated to match the labs printers. I cannot guarantee the quality of prints that are not purchased through my lab.

7. What about the negative files?

I provide select, processed high-resolution files. I retain the copyright to the images and use them for promotional purposes. I typically do not provide the digital raw files for viewing or purchase. However, you can purchase the digital raw files on an engraved wooden flash drive, at an additional cost. Most of the files are going to be duplicates, images of people running in front of my camera, a candid shot of some caught in the middle of saying something with the letter O,  test shots etc. I will deliver around 600-800 images, depending on a few different variables.

8. How many images will we receive? Do you edit them yourself?

Good question! It all depends ( I hate that answer). Typically, I deliver 600-800 photos on average. Your timeline and how many shooters are covering the wedding, will be factors in how many photos are rendered. All photos will be color corrected, cropped, straightened and blemish/object removal will be done to select photos. I also provide creative composites (creative image work  using multiple photos and images) at an additional cost. Let me know your idea before your wedding, so that I'm able to capture the content needed.

9. How far in advance should we book you?

I have booked clients as far as 18 months out from their wedding day. I always recommend securing your photographer within at least 12 months. If you're getting married sooner, just give me a shout and we'll see if I can help. Make sure to say hi before you leave, here.

10. What other photography services do you provide?

I have a very diverse background in photography. Shooting weddings is my main focus and will continue to focus my experience and efforts within that area of photography. However, I also provide engagement, portraits and headshots. Both traditional and creative work. Check out my galleries and investments page for more details.
