A lot of my wedding, elopement and portrait clients come from Seattle and the Pacific Northwest but I have shot all around the country, to include Knik Glacier and Seward, Alaska, Estes Park, Colorado, Southern California to name a few of my favorite spots. Hey! I’m Matt. I’m pumped that you’ve taken the time to visit.
I’ve been a full-time wedding, elopement and portrait photographer for over 8 years now! Time flies when you’re having fun! I currently live in the Seattle area, but I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky.
I have worked within various forms of photography, to include studio productions with complex lighting scenarios, fine art landscape, real estate photography, commercial photography, headshot photography, narrative based videography, all of which has allowed me to deliver the creative imagery that not only stands out, but has also trained me to work in extremely challenging environments. Whether we’re landing on a windy glacier via helicopter in Alaska, shooting in the rain, or on a tight, hectic schedule, I can assure you that you’ve found the right person for the job.
Each wedding, elopement, and portrait shoot is uniquely different, but my approach is the same. I am story teller at heart and I’m here to tell your story in a true genuine fashion.

My approach to wedding, elopement and portrait photography is the same, just the process is different. If you know me, I love to goof around and have a blast. Seriously, I'm a goofy dude.
I want my wedding, elopement and portrait photography clients to have fun and be present in the moment. Through candid movement cues, rapport building, and subtle, editorial style posing, I am able to apply my skills with various lighting (to include studio and natural lighting set ups) , compositions, to deliver images that not only tell your story, but truly reflect your personality and memories you will cherish forever. My imagery is timeless but it’s also unique and creative.

The Details
You have a lot going on in your lives. Whether you’re preparing for an upcoming portrait photography session, planning an elopement or your big wedding day, it’s hard to really focus on being truly relaxed and living in the moment, once you start shooting. Ain't no body got time for that!!!
I've worked with a lot of clients since being a Seattle photographer and the one thing I hear the most from couples at the end of their wedding day is “wow, I barely remember the day, what happened?”. How will the day be remembered?! The thoughts of you getting ready with your wedding party, you walking up during a first look, the laughter, vows, dancing, toasts and cheers all flash before you in the blink of an eye. During portrait photography sessions, the main thing I see is people being too caught up in their thoughts, too focused on how they look. Which can reflect in their final images. Or, when a couple is planning an elopement here in the Pacific Northwest, they have no idea where to start, what the rules are, what to wear, and how to look their best in photos.
Regardless of whether you’re shooting a portrait session with me, I’m shooting your wedding or shooting your elopement , the goal is the same. I want you to be present in the moment. Relaxed, and showing who you truly are. My job is to help you relax and have fun but to capture these important memories in a true authentic, timeless form.
